At one point, the founder, Ms. Ferguson, worked on over 4,000 cases with numerous firms across Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Illinois, California, Florida and New York. She takes on the biggest and most complex of cases – and her clients win. Her pharmaceutical cases include Baycol, Vioxx, Zyprexa, Ortho Evra and Trasylol – just to name a few. Ms. Ferguson has built a database of nearly 5,000 specialists (medical, scientific, and regulatory) across the United States… all of whom work with her as experts in their fields.
The Founder
The words ‘Driven’, ‘Savvy’, and ‘Determined’ are often used when clients and peers describe Janice Ferguson, the founder of J.L. Ferguson & Associates, Inc. Those words become self-explanatory when reviewing Ms. Ferguson’s history and experience in nursing. She has served as the Head Nurse of Emergency Department at Ben Taub General Hospital and later as Clinical Area Manager of Surgical Nursing for the departments of Orthopedics, Urology and Emergency medicine at Houston’s Methodist Hospital. The years of experience in those positions are irreplaceable, but Ms. Ferguson aspired to taking on greater nursing challenges. Her expertise and drive drew her to a medical consulting firm in Houston where she became a case manager and legal nurse consultant. While Ms. Ferguson thrived as a legal nurse consultant there, she was driven to tackle even greater challenges in the field of legal nurse consulting. In 1993, she opened her own Legal Nurse Consulting firm, J. L. Ferguson & Associates, Inc… and found the challenges that continue to excite her today.
